Francisco Ignacio Melo Gálvez, better known as Cabernetfranco is a Chilean singer, songwriter and writer born in Santiago on June 11, 1990. He is an independent artist who experiences his own sound with alternative genres, such as ballad, soft rock, dream pop, ambient pop-rock and electronic.
Losing You, his first single, was released on digital music platforms on March 20 and is a ballad with melancholic overtones and chilling and haunting vocals. He is currently working on his upcoming EP (unknown title) which will be presented as the artist's debut album.
So far the artist has posted 6 songs on his YouTube channel. Francisco Ignacio Melo Gálvez, better known as “Cabernetfranco” is a Chilean singer, songwriter and writer born in Santiago on June 11, 1990. He is an independent artist who experiences his own sound blending alternative genres such as ballad, soft rock, dream pop, ambient pop-rock and electronic.
His high-anticipated self-titled debut album was released on YouTube on June, 5th. The album includes 14 tracks. The artist has described the album as contemporary, ethereal, experimental, organic and free of "autotune". The opening drops 80’s retro pop sounds (almost synthwave), electronic downtempo tunes to heart-wrenching breakup ballads. The album was produced by the artist at his home in isolation due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic using his own resources, producing the album by himself in less than four months.
The artist shared a post on his Instagram account the day before the release of the record stating all the money raised from the steaming and the digital purchase of his album will be donated to the low income families and to the most affected ones during the health crisis in Chile.
